Over the winter break the Lubin Active Learning Classroom (ALC) project was completed on the New York City campus at 1 Pace Plaza, room W522. Steelcase verb style tables and chairs were added to the room, along with multiple charging stations throughout the space. The ALC space seats 42, has seven displays (including an interactive touch screen TV), white boards, and video conferencing capabilities.
In addition to the ALC space upgrades, a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) was developed for the Lubin courses. This allows for students to have access to the Lubin specific programs that are being used in their courses by incorporating a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) element to the ALC space – which will allow for more intensive research and projects to be completed. The VDI can be accessed both on and off campus.
