As we begin the new academic year, we are reintroducing our Starfish platform, now renamed as OnTrack. The new name is meant to be more self-explanatory, since it reflects OnTrack’s ultimate goal of supporting our students’ success and their continuous progress toward degree completion. A number of adjustments have been made in OnTrack to reflect feedback gathered, from Faculty, by a taskforce comprised of faculty and staff advisers last year. We have responded to concerns that some of you have expressed about this program’s privacy settings, which have been updated. OnTrack will also continue to serve as an important tool to facilitate early, targeted interventions for our students to help them succeed and stay in college.
This semester, we are asking for faculty feedback only for our first year students (i.e., those enrolled in a UNV 101).
- Our first APR period was September 13th through September 17th for faculty to share attendance concerns ONLY for our first year students before the add/drop deadline ( which is at midnight on Tuesday, September 18th).
- Two additional APR requests will be sent later in the semester to faculty who are teaching first year students, with the second running from October 3th through October 10th, and the third from November 1st through November 7th.
While our APR requests will focus exclusively on our first year students this semester, faculty retain the ability to share feedback through OnTrack, if they wish, at any time during the semester, and outside of formal APR requests, for any student enrolled in their course(s) who may need further support.
