We are proud of the work and improvements completed by each of our ITS teams on a regular basis. Much of their work happens behind the scenes and may not always make it to the list below, but it is critical nonetheless and helps to keep systems and services running smoothly. Below are some recent examples of their continued efforts.
- Earlier this summer, the Technical Services team worked with Financial Information Systems (FIS) to upgrade the Journal Voucher (JV) Automation System. The Journal Voucher system is used to track a wide range of transactions and to assign expenses and revenues to appropriate accounts. The newly-upgraded version provides new features available to budget reps and the Finance area. The Technical Services team also completed upgrading all alumni and student Pace Exchange email accounts to Exchange Online between July and October.
- The Network Services team worked with CISCO engineers during the month of October to complete recommended wireless equipment changes at Miller, Elm, Alumni, North, and Martin Halls, as well as the Townhouses and Kessel Student Center on the Pleasantville campus.
- Starting in October, the Information Security Office team began rolling out the BeyondTrust Privilege Management security software, which helps to reduce the installation of malware and spyware and helps to defend against ransomware on the University’s computers. This work will continue in phases until completed.
- In October, the Telecommunications team upgraded the Cisco software on a number of communication devices on all Pace Campuses.
