On Monday, April 18th, Pace University is starting the transition to a new help desk system on the TeamDynamix platform! Due to the wide effort involved in migrating many different University areas and coordinating on feasible timeframes, the transition will happen in two phases. This will allow some University areas to go live first and other areas to follow later. This means that there will be two help desk systems running side-by-side during the transition period.
Starting on April 18th, when you visit the Pace University Helpdesk login page, you will see two help desk systems to choose from. All help desk areas will be listed by system, so you’ll know which login link to select, depending on your request. This transition period will last several weeks, until all University help desk areas have migrated over to the new platform. At that point, only the new help desk system will display and all areas will be available in that system.
The new help desk system’s interface and navigation should be very intuitive and will provide quick access to aggregated knowledge base content for easy reference, as well as a list of the services that can be requested from each of the University areas represented in the system.
In the near future, we plan to integrate AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities into the help desk application via a chatbot component. This additional integration will enhance the user experience and help provide faster and more accurate information on demand.
