As of December 3, 2025 Academic Technology will begin archiving and deleting courses in adherence with our course retention policy. This is an initial notice to remind all staff and faculty of the following:
- Fall 2020 and older courses will be permanently deleted
- Continuing Education 2021-2022 courses, as well as all Summer and Fall 2022 courses will be archived
What does “Archived” mean?
Courses that have been archived will no longer appear in Brightspace/Classes. However, the course will be saved for an additional three years, accessible only by Academic Technology staff or by request.
Faculty who wish to save student work and/or grades can do so prior to course archival. See the below tutorials for step-by-step instructions. The resulting files can be securely saved to your Pace-provided OneDrive storage account. If retrieval of an archived course is necessary, you can create a ticket by emailing acadtech@pace.edu with the CRN and term code of the course.

What does “Permanently Deleted” mean?
Courses that are permanently deleted are irrevocably removed from the system and archives. These courses, along with their data, can never be recovered.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Office of Academic Technology at acadtech@pace.edu.
