We are proud of the work and improvements completed by each of our ITS teams on a regular basis. Much of their work happens behind the scenes and may not always make it to the list below, but it is critical nonetheless and helps to keep systems and services running smoothly. Below are some recent examples of their continued efforts.

  • The Academic Technology team was one of three recipients of the prestigious President’s Award for Outstanding Contribution, which seeks to recognize the individuals and teams that make exceptional efforts in achieving the university’s goals. We would like to sincerely thank those faculty that nominated us for this award, and we will strive to continue living up to this high reputation.
  • The Administrative Computing Services team completed several successive updates to the Banner system, Oracle databases and related applications.
  • The Client Support team worked with Technical Services and Information Security to update and test remote software deployments to Pace-owned computers (e.g. laptops) when they connect to the Pace network via Virtual Private Networking (VPN).
  • The Information Security team completed a number of changes to improve security protocols for system access while removing potential vulnerabilities. They also worked with the Technical Services team to add Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for additional systems, including Transact, TerraDotta, MyPace Portal, Banner Applications, Interfolio, and TouchNet (see full systems list here).
  • The Network Services team has completed network hardware/software upgrades at 52 Broadway, 156 Williams Street, and 163 Williams Street in the past several weeks.
  • The Technical Services team has successfully migrated a number of applications to new, upgraded servers, and installed monthly security updates and patches to all other servers. I addition, they have added a number of new vendors to our single sign-on environment for easier, more secure access.
  • The Telecommunications team has completed a number of updates and upgrades to university IP phones, voice routers, call center systems, emergency responder system, and 3rd party apps. They also worked with our local and long distance service provider to perform scheduled maintenance on the network.
  • The Web Services team successfully migrated the International Commercial Law website (iicl.law.pace.edu) to a new server. In addition, they completed a number of code updates to the Pace website and school websites.
