The ‘classroom of the future’ is here. Educational Media has completed a major upgrade in classroom M36 (Miller Hall, Pleasantville). The space is now fully-integrated with HyFlex technology, which is combined with the traditional lecture style classroom model to make hybrid learning a reality and enable more flexibility in the way that a course can be organized and implemented.
Faculty can also deliver their course content, including all whiteboard annotations, to their students by using the Board Capture tool. This feature allows students to view the shared content, whether from inside the classroom or remotely via the integrated HyFlex platform. The immersive technology will allow instructors to reach their students, no matter how they are connected. And if a particular course is not utilizing the Hyflex model, the classroom can still accommodate the traditional lecture style.
The HyFlex platform also makes it possible to connect similarly-equipped rooms across campuses, in order to accommodate larger audiences in separate locations; similar to a video conference experience.
We invite all faculty with questions, or those who may want to experience a demonstration of the capabilities in room M36, to please contact Educational Media at EdMediaHelp@pace.edu.
