Pace University is required by the U.S. Department of Education to verify the attendance of Federal Aid recipients because it impacts their financial aid eligibility. This process is called Enrollment Verification and is necessary for properly reporting enrollment to the U.S. Department of Education’s National Student Loan Data System. It confirms eligibility for state aid and institutional aid, and helps both athletes to stay on track and international students to remain in the United States.
To help support this new requirement, Information Technology Services (ITS) has added an enrollment verification form in the Brightspace/Classes LMS (https://classes.pace.edu/). Faculty can access this form by logging in to Brightspace/Classes, entering a course, clicking Tools on the blue ribbon running across the top of the screen, and then selecting Qwickly Attendance from the drop-down menu.
ITS has also created a Qwickly Enrollment Verification webpage, which is accessible from the main ITS site (www.pace.edu/its), and which contains instructions for filling out the enrollment verification form. In addition, there is a short video tutorial demonstrating how to access and submit the form, plus a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section with additional information.
