Information Technology Services (ITS) collaborated with the Central Advising Office, and subsequently with Human Resources, to leverage the functionality of the TeamDynamix Help Desk system to help expedite the onboarding of new staff. Based on discussions and recommendations from area stakeholders, a new one-stop process was built to request necessary access to systems and resources for newly-hired advisors and employees. Departmental staff (e.g. hiring managers) can now complete and submit one ticket form, which lists the main systems and resources that most new employees would need access to. Based on the submitted information, the main form will then trigger and assign separate ticket requests to the respective University groups who can then review and grant the requested access.

Both forms are live and have already been utilized to help expedite access requests! In the coming year, we plan to consolidate both onboarding forms into one and will continue to make improvements to the onboarding request process.

In addition, ITS and Human Resources collaborated on a separate online resource page for Additional Systems for New Employee Onboarding. This supplemental page lists other systems and resources that can be requested for a new employee, depending on their job role.
