We are pleased to announce that the ITS Client Support Office will begin to deploy Windows 11 University-wide later in the spring semester. All newly distributed Pace employee laptops and desktops deployed via the University Computer Replacement (UR) cycle will come with Windows 11.

Windows 11 contains a number of new features, including:

  • Microsoft Copilot —Access the AI-powered intelligent assistant from the desktop
  • New Start Menu —Pin apps or group them into folders and see recommended files
  • Snap Assist — Organize your windows and unclutter your view
  • Voice Typing — Instantly turn your speech into text
  • Task View —Access all open windows with one button

Don’t want to wait for your next UR replacement?

Any employee wishing to receive Windows 11 prior to their next UR replacement can submit a help desk ticket request via the Computers (Hardware/Software) form (select the “Additional Hardware or Software Install/Update/Removal” option), or email pacehelpdesk@pace.edu with the request details. Please note: Due to current workload and prioritization of University Replacement schedule, it may take longer to fulfill your request.
