Information Technology Services (ITS) is working with our chatbot solution provider, Ivy.ai, to build an integration between our T-Bone chatbot and our student information system, Ellucian Banner. This connection will allow T-Bone to query Banner for individualized information pertinent to a student’s inquiry, once that student has provided the appropriate login credentials.

A student who has been authenticated will be able to ask more personalized questions like, “What is my GPA?” or “Who is my Advisor?” and get back real, specific, timely answers from T-Bone without the need to contact the appropriate office and wait for a response!

Currently, the T-Bone chatbot can be found in many places, including the Pace Portal, various Pace University webpages, and our Knowledge Base. T-Bone is already leveraging AI (artificial intelligence) to answer your questions like “How do I get my unofficial transcript?” or “How do I register for classes?” or “How do I reset my Portal password?” But we are excited to be able to expand upon those capabilities and further enhance the student experience by making it possible for the chatbot to securely serve out more precise information to students who are able to provide their login credentials.
